Project Planning

JSA can assist with the preparation of construction project programmes and other related schedules; working with the contractor's project team to implement the proposed plans including the monitoring and reporting of the implementation process. Conversely, JSA can assist with the review and interrogation of such programmes, schedules and monitoring documentation to aid understanding and effective use of such documentation by employers or contract administrators.

Delayed Projects

JSA can assist with the review and analyses of delays identifying in particular the causes; extending to the formulation, implementation and monitoring of recovery plans. Conversely JSA can assist with the input and/or interrogation of such recovery plans and related monitoring documentation on behalf of employers or contract administrators.

Specialist or Advisor

When delay has or is expected to occur, JSA can provide experienced specialist assistance in advance of or subsequent to a dispute crystallising. Such assistance, when procured in advance of a dispute arising, can increase the likelihood of a dispute being avoided or put the engaging party in a more robust position in the event a dispute should arise.

JSA has received a number of commissions where the specialist or expert advisor role was for (or extended to) assistance to a client where delay expert witnesses have been authorised and equivalent expertise was required to enhance the interaction between the engaging party and its witness, monitor the nature and extent of related progress and aid with understanding the communications and findings of the expert witness(es) and related material.

Expert Witness

It may become necessary to appoint an independent delay expert to provide expert opinion and evidence in respects of disputed matters of delay. JSA can provided delay expert witness services; interacting with the appointing party(s) as appropriate and necessary to inform on progress and provide when/where possible initial objective views during the ongoing process of investigation and formulation of an independent opinion. When ultimately established, such opinion can be provided in compliant written form supplemented with oral evidence if and when necessary.
